There are so many reasons I love Cambridge~ the diversity, the social justice and activism, the commitment to being as green as possible... and the City Dance Party!Each June, the city shuts down Mass Ave from Prospect Street to a bit past City Hall and throws a massive dance party! There's a DJ, lights, and lots and lots of dancing! It's such an amazing event! It brings out a crowd diverse in backgrounds and age for a massive celebration of fun! I commented to JO that everyone was happy. I didn't see one upset, stressed out, or overwhelmed person and given the heat, humidity, and crowds that's pretty hard to pull off.
