Henrietta's Table and Club Passim

Each fall, my dad goes camping with his best friend's on Three Mile Island, in Lake Winnepesaukee.  I went often as a child and young adult and the last few years JO and I have gone.  It's definitely a special place so when I saw this flier in our neighborhood I quickly spread the word to the TMI gang.

Within a few days twelve of us had tickets to the show.  Before dinner we met up for dinner at Henrietta's Table at the Charles Hotel.  Although the restaurant was nothing to write home about it did feature some nice, old fashioned New England fare and offered our large party some great service.  I wish I liked the restaurant more because they had an awesome wheat beer that is only sold there.

After dinner we made our way over to Club Passim.  JO's mom has been on our case for a long time for not having been here before.  This is such a neat place.  There are lots of small, round tables that seat four.  Dinner and drinks are served throughout the show.  The room is pretty small so it makes for a very intimate show.  The ensemble music was so amazing and it was so fun to hear the artists reference the island.  My guess is we were the only ones in the room who visited the island.

After the show JO and I headed home, leaving my dad and his friends in the Square to enjoy the rest of the night.  We were two of the four only non-retired folks and we had to get up for work the next day.  I was so happy for my dad but a lot jealous too :-)
