January started off with an awesome show at Club Passim in Harvard Square. It took us nine years, but we finally made it to our first show at Club Passim last winter and we fell in love! Club Passim is this super intimate venue with an amazing history and really great local, independent artists.
This show was the same show we saw last year. It's called Sub Rosa and is a collection of singers who go to Three Mile Island on Lake Winnipesaukee for a week long songwriting retreat. We were drawn to this show because my family has camped on TMI since the 70s. It's such a special island and a magical place and it's so neat to hear the artists talk about their time on the island.
All of the singers were great. The songs ranged from fun to soulful to heartfelt and it made for a really lovely night out. We've already snapped up tickets to two more shows at Passim featuring artists from this show!
