I hate the winter!!!! We've been pretty lucky this year so I guess I don't have too much to complain about but still, I hate the winter! Last weekend we got a snow storm, followed by frigid temps that froze everything to the ground. Monday's windchills were in the negatives! I had the day off but I couldn't face the outside world. JO scored major points for going out to get coffee while I stayed under the blankets.
By the evening I had had enough of being stuck inside so we decided to brave the balmy 4 degrees and have dinner in the square. We walked over to The Druid, which is maybe a four minute walk and that was a challenge. It had been a while since we'd been there. The Druid has great food, great beers, and reasonable prices but it can be hard to get a table. I guess that becomes easier when it's almost zero out 😉
While we were eating dinner I got a call saying we would have a two hour delay the next day! That came out of the blue and I was quite excited so I decided we needed to extend the evening. We headed over to Puritan for a delicious dessert and some sparkling wine.
It's just so nice to know that even when Mother Nature is wreaking havoc, we still have so many great places to enjoy just a short walk from our house.
