I made it. I made it to summer vacation. And unlike last year, I actually have a patio I can enjoy my mornings at. I do miss walking into Harvard Square and I will forever treasure those mornings spent in Harvard Yard, but the ease of rolling out of bed and onto my patio for coffee and a book is just too good!
After sleeping for like 12 hours, I finally got back to working out. I love, love, love my workout space in our new place and it was nice to be back at the barre. I'm trying to get to 500 classes before OpenFit merges with Beach Body. (Yes, I'm 44 and motivated by e-badges.)
We also went to the Freezepop show at the Crystal Ballroom. This is a cool, new (well old but old in the sense that it used to be in Allston and moved over here recently) venue and Freezepop is always a fun band to see.
Before the show we had dinner at Five Horses Tavern in Davis, and I have to say, each time we go to Davis I wonder why we don't go here more often. I really liked Five Horses and loved the variety on their menu. Plus it was nice to get to enjoy a patio night.
So far, summer vacation is meeting my expectations!
