Barbeques and May Fair
This weekend was filled with such great weather and multiple opportunities to enjoy it. Friday night we hit up Bukowski's for dinner. It was a great night for walking around the neighborhood.
I got a jump start on my summer ways on Saturday when I went into Harvard Square for my morning coffee. I started doing this a few years ago and it's something I treasure. I walk into the Square, grab an iced coffee, and sit in Harvard Yard reading a book. There is this great spot in front of one of the libraries that has patio tables and chairs. This is such a great way to start off any morning. It's so peaceful there and lots of shade. This is something I do almost every day during my summer vacation, so it was nice to be able to sneak one in before the end of the school year. Hopefully there will be a few more :-)
Saturday night our good friends that live in our neighborhood had us over for a barbeque. They have a really nice backyard and a grill :-) It was such a relaxing evening and hopefully there will be more of these delicious outings in the future.
Today, JO and I hit up May Fair in Harvard Square. May Fair is an annual fair sponsored by the Harvard Square Business Association. This is probably my favorite event the Square puts on each year... especially when the weather is so nice (although it was a bit hot today.) There are great vendors selling all kinds of clothing, jewelry, art, and food. There are also 3 performance stages and a "Chalk on the Walk" display. We had such a great time and ended the afternoon by completing our monthly toast with some delicious BerryLine. Check out Harvard Square for more information on all of the events they sponsor throughout the year.
