Boston Ballet's Obsidian Tear

This year I got myself a subscription to the ballet.  The first ballet this season was Obsidian Tear, which was a co-production with the Royal Ballet.

Before the ballet I had dinner at Teatro, my favorite pre-ballet dinner spot.  The service is always great so there's never a fear of being late for the show.  I snagged a seat at the bar and enjoyed a mojito and pasta dish!   They recently renovated their space and I'm not sure how I feel about it.  The bar is dark wood now (I think it was marble before) and they got rid of their signature blue lighting.  It doesn't look so unique anymore but everything else remained the same so it's still high on my favorites list!

The ballet was really interesting.  The first act was performed by an all male cast and featured a lot of strong partner work.  The second act flew by.  There wasn't a single pause in the music so it was very easy to get caught up in the show.  I'm so looking forward to the rest of the shows this season.
