May is my least favorite month. It's always so jam packed with school work, recitals, reviews, twirling contests, and meetings. All of these things are enjoyable and worthwhile, but it's rapid fire and there's almost no time to catch your breath.
Take the first weekend of May for example. I had an epic amount of school work and a twirling contest, in New Hampshire, and my nephew's dance recital on the South Shore. (Side note- Watching a two year dance his heart out on stage is pretty awesome!) I was so tired when I got home but JO convinced me to rally and head out. It was a perfect patio night and JO didn't want it get wasted.
We started out at Kikas Tapas because you can always count on a patio table here. We enjoyed some delicious tapas and yummy Cava. After dinner we didn't want to end the evening so we walked across the street to Abigail's patio.
I love this patio. There are a old fashioned edison bulbs, wrought iron tables and dim lighting. It's set back from the street a bit so it's pretty private. We grabbed a drink and a delicious chocolate cake dessert. It was so nice to just slow down for a while and enjoy the lovely weather.
