I've said it before, but one of the things I love about living in Cambridge is being able to go to events in the city without it being a production. Case in point, free lectures and panel discussions at Radcliffe. I found about these a few years back when I heard a promo for the Title IX panel Radcliffe hosted a few years back. I'm on their mailing list now and from time to time I head over to Radcliffe after school to take advantage of these free offerings.
This month's panel was entitled "The Midterms: Who Voted, Who Counted?" They had put together a really interesting panel of experts and it was really neat to hear the different takes on the election results. It was such a great discussion that after the event I was found myself standing next to the Dean of Radcliffe and had to tell her how wonderful it is that these events are free and open to the public.
One of these times I will actually have the time to stay after the presentation and take advantage of the reception afterwards (where they serve you yummy food, at no cost, and you can continue the conversations started earlier.)
