After the last storm our neighborhood was totally destroyed. It was a little bit soul crushing. I had Monday off from school but I couldn't really do anything but get psyched about the big UConn game. We checked out my car, but it was pretty much a lost cause, so we dug out JO's and returned home. I was feeling pretty stressed and overwhelmed by the snow.

Have to love Snow Humor |
As we watched the snow continue to fall I wondered if we would have school the next day. Thankfully, the answer came early and Parlor Sports was open so we headed over to watch the big UConn game.
On the walk over we snapped some pictures of the epic snowbanks and snowdrifts.

Not only are the snowbanks tall, they are really wide too |
We grabbed two seats at the bar, and our favorite bartender quickly put the game on the tv. There was a really nice atmosphere in the bar that night, despite the forecast of more snow (potentially a blizzard) later that week. Parlor Sports had billed it as a "neighborhood slumber party" kind of night. While we waited for the game to start we chatted with the couple sitting next to us. There's this mutual understanding now about the snow trauma we have all endured over the past few weeks.
My Huskies played great and ended up crushing #1 South Carolina. I was so excited I asked if I could ring the bell to celebrate! It was really fun and as we headed outside my snow saddened spirits had risen again. We stopped to take some more pictures.
