My mid-November I was starting to feel overwhelmed. My school life was getting seriously busy and my back was beginning to bother me. I needed a day off so badly and thankfully Veteran's Day came at just the right moment...and it was gorgeous out!
After taking care of some school work, I headed into Harvard Square to run some errands and grab lunch. It was so beautiful out but my mid-November most places had put away their outdoor seating. On a lark, I went over to Algier's Cafe to see if their roof deck was still open. Lucky for me the deck was open and I was able to get a table. The waitress kept forgetting about me out there but that just gave me more time to read my book and soak up the sun.
I felt so completely inspired after my roof deck lunch that I headed out for a run. I chose to try out a new route. I ran through Inman and down Kirkland Street. I've never actually gone down this street before and it was really pretty. Before I knew it I was at the edge of Harvard Square so I looped back. It wasn't the longest run but it felt good to get back out there and I loved discovering a new street.
