Tommy Caldwell at Patagonia

Speaking of super fun events that are easy to go to since we live in the city, Tommy Caldwell was recently at the Patagonia store in Boston to talk about his new book Push.  (check out all those links~ I don't link enough but those ones are worth the click, especially the Instagram for Patagonia Boston, they have awesome in-store events.)  Tommy recently completed a free solo (I hope I'm saying that right because I'm supposedly a climber so I should know this lingo) of the Dawn Wall on El Cap in Yosemite.  He was at Patagonia to talk about the climb and about his memoir that he wrote.

You can tell, by what Caldwell shared during this talk, that writing the book was a life changing event for him.  Sometimes writing makes you really realize the true meaning of something that has happened in your life and for Caldwell, lots of crazy things, good and bad, have happened to him.  I left inspired and excited to read the book, even though I knew there was no possibility of reading for pleasure before June 21st at 3:00 p.m.

JO and I get bonus points for walking to and from this event (this was motivated by a complete lack of Ubers but still, look at us racking up the steps!)
