Day 111~ Let There be Cake

After a morning of pilates and barre, I binged nine episodes of Ace of Cakes.  I used to love watching this show and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was on demand.  It's the perfect "safer at home" show.  Everyone always seems happy, even when things go wrong with the cakes.

After that many hours of watching a show all about cake I was really craving some good old fashioned yellow cake with vanilla frosting.  After mentioning this about a hundred times, JO suggested we go to Whole Foods to get some.  Alas, there was no yellow cake to be found.  In fact, the cake options were frightenly non-existent.  For a hot minute we thought about making our own cake from a box mix but that looked complicated so we grabbed a tiramisu and made the best of it.  I decided to make a Southside to go with it because why not?

I think the lockdown is getting to Denali because he spent a considerable amount of time in the sink!

I don't know who Miles is, but I agree 100% with him.  Let's not wait until things get bad again.  Lets stay proactive and take hints from other states.

And finally, I spent the night waiting for Jonathan Clause to bring my Huskies back in the Big East!  (please, please, please let there be college basketball next year!)
