Day 53- The Sun was Shining!

Day 53 was absolutely gorgeous.  Temps got up to the high 70s and the sun was shining brightly.  JO and I decided to take advantage by going for a run.  We ran a route through Kendall Square and the streets were mostly empty and the few people we did interact with had masks and practiced social distancing.  It gave me some hope.

I was also super excited to find that the Roche Brothers Marketplace in Kendall Square was calm and well stocked.  Our last few grocery trips have been harrowing and frustrating because of empty shelves so this was a beautiful sight to behold.  We will definitely be taking advantage!

The rest of the day was spent lounging, doing some school work, and taking lots of pics of the kittens!

We ended the night with a "Google Hangout" with friends.  It was so nice to touch base with our friends and to play Vegas Showdown virtually.

I'm going to end with this picture.  It's from Central Park in NYC on Saturday.  This just makes me sad.  I guess I might expect this foolish behavior from other parts of the country, but not from NYC, the hardest hit place in our country.  How can these people listen to the sirens each day, how can they clap every night for healthcare workers, and then do this?  How can people be so selfish?  Please, please, please, be part of the solution, not the problem!!!
