Day 63~ From Beacon Hill to Parlor Sports my Heart was Full

Day 63 is a day late, because in a change of late, I've been super busy this week.

Wednesday was a gorgeous, sunny day!  Spring is slowly making its arrival.  We decided to take advantage of the weather, and the free parking meters, to drive to Beacon Hill for our run.  We parked on Charles Street and started running up the hills and around all of the little side streets.  I'm embarrassed to say that I've never explored these side streets before.  I've never even been to Acorn Street, which I recently learned is the most photographed street in the city.  Beacon Hill is such a beautiful part of our city and definitely one I need to visit more often.  I've said it often over these past 63 days, but I am so thankful for the time this experience has given me to explore different parts of Cambridge and Boston.  The gift of time has been something so special, something my mind and body really needed.

As we were running up the hills I realized just how much running we've been doing.  Back in mid-March I remember going for a run up to Prospect Tower in Somerville.  I was huffing and puffing up the hill, and I think I even had to stop for a minute.  And now, in May, I was speeding up the hills in Beacon Hill like it was nothing.

Our run even took us through the Public Gardens.

When we got back from our run it was time for trivia with Parlor Sports.  I love that my sports bar set up a social hour for its customers.  Our favorite bartender even made his Zoom background a replica of the bar and it looked like he was standing behind it!  I do miss our neighborhood regulars.

I'll leave you with this picture from a shop on Charles Street.  We have a chance to return from this better, stronger, more united.
