The days seem to be going by fast now. I feel like Day 60 was just the other day. Day 70 was a typical day- school work, self-care, and "gym" class. JO and I went for yet another run.
The highlight of Day 70 was Breanna Stewart's IG Live with UConn's next superstar, Paige Bueckers.
This was a delightful discussion. First, you could tell Paige was a bit awe struck to be having a conversation with Breanna Stewart. It was really great to see. Second, as a Husky fan, I am already so proud of Paige and she hasn't even played a game for us yet. Paige is eloquent, appreciative, focused, and so motivated. She really understands the importance of hard work and the kind of rules and expectations put forth by the UConn program. I also really enjoyed listening to Breanna speak about being responsible during the time of the pandemic.
I also continue to think about personal responsibility, needs vs. wants, and the importance of a government looking out for and caring for its citizens.
I couldn't agree more with what Rep. Connolly said on Twitter today:
I'm getting really good at these mocktail mojitos!
I'm really interested to see what happens with these guidelines.
