Day 61~ I Left our Bubble

On day 61 I did two things I hadn't done in 60 days.  I woke up at 5:30am and I left my city.  I had to go to school to pack up my classroom.  I hadn't driven more than five minutes since this all started.  My commute is normally around 40 minutes but on Monday it took me barely 30 minutes, and that was with me stopping for coffee.

I spent the day packing up my classroom.  It was so weird to see it frozen in time.  The calendar still said March 12th.  On that last day of school I had just separated everyone's desks.  The few bottles of wipes I was rationing were still stowed safely under my desk.  The birthday cards my kids had given me were still on display.  I wish I had taken some pictures but I had so much to do.

When I got home I had 76 work emails to go through and by the time I was done with that, I was wiped out.  I was craving a mojito but we didn't have enough limes left.  Normally, we would just run to the store and grab some limes but that's just selfish, in my opinion, at this point in time.  That's when I remembered that Formaggio's Kitchen had limes.  Formaggio's is a small, boutique marketplace with a few shops around the city.   They have a great system set up for social distancing and they even provide gloves.  I didn't feel so bad stopping in to just get some limes.

We spent the night drinking our mojitos and finishing Upload.  Cute show and worth the watch.  Denali snuck some avocado at dinner and had a pretty epic post snack nap.  He woke up super groggy and was able to get this adorable pic of him.  (He was literally drooling, he was so groggy.)
