Day 59~ Highs and Lows

On Day 59, May 9th, it was cold enough for snow here in Massachusetts.  Yes, Mother Nature, took things into her own hands to get people to stay inside!  Denali was definitely all about being cozy.

Did you hear about the guy who through a conniption because Costco made him squirt some hand sanitizer on his hands before entering the store to buy a toaster oven?  He was all bent out of shape.  Can you imagine how pathetic you have to be to be inconvenienced by being asked to cleanse your hands?

I spent most of the day in a funk, especially because I had a ton of school work to do and it's been a long time since I had to school work on the weekend.  I forgot how much that takes out of me.  It was so windy and cold that we couldn't really go out for a run.  Earlier in the quarantine, I would have taken the opportunity to organize a drawer, a cabinet, or a closet but I don't have anything left to organize 😱 I ended up spending the rest of the day on the couch doing nothing and then getting annoyed with myself for not being productive (which breaks my, you can't do quarantine wrong rule.) I did accomplish one thing, I turned our coat rack into a mask rack!  I'm excited to get my next Zazzle shipment to round out my collection.

We decided to salvage the day by getting take out from one of our favorite restaurants that has just started doing take out.  I'm not going to name the restaurant because the food really was not good.  I think part of the problem is that produce and meat options just aren't want they used to be pre-lockdown.  This really impacts a restaurant like this one, that depends on really fresh ingredients to showcase their flavors.  I was really bummed out and ended up eating spaghetti o's for dinner which just made me sad.

Thankfully, there was a Mark Erelli livestream to take my mind off of things.

And of course, Saturday nights mean "A Touch More" with Megan and Sue!  It was another stellar episode!

I even found this old picture I found of the two of them from the WNBA All-Star game a few years ago!
