Day 57~ Hope

Day 57 was a day of hope.  I don't know if I was just riding high after watching the Michelle Obama documentary or if it was the spring weather.

It started with this news from Wit's End, the restaurant right across the street from me.

How cool is this?  Since they can't be open, and take out isn't really an option for them, they've donated their space to be used as an antibody testing site.  I am just so happy about this.  When this whole thing started, this is the kind of "drop everything and do your part" stuff I was expecting out of our country.  It made me so proud to be from this neighborhood and so proud of my city!

Then, there was this lovely come back from Axl Rose, which just made me giggle.  It reminded me of the insanely fabulous  "Dear Trump" letter by Tommy Lee back in the early days of this craziness.

After finishing our work for the day, JO and I went for a run.  It was absolutely gorgeous out and we both had great runs.  On our walk back home through our neighborhood we encountered an older man out for a walk wearing a tank top and a speedo.  For most of you this would be crazy or creepy, for us, this was like a return to our old life.  If you don't see something wacky on your walk around Cambridge, you're really not walking around Cambridge.  For 56 days we didn't see anything wacky and on the 57th day the wacky was back!!!  And then we saw that The Druid and Highland Fried are both opening back up for take out.  And then, when we got back to our house we walked back behind our property, where another house is, that has been totally renovated, to check it out.  It had jut come on the market and when a construction worker saw us he let us tour the house (not sure how legal that was.) We love going to open houses and for a few minutes we were back doing something normal.

That whole chain of events put me in such a great mood.  I fired up the computer so we could watch the Elizabeth and the Catapult Club Passim livestream.  I had been wanting to see her play a show for a while and thanks to Passim, I got to "go" to one yesterday!  She is a really unique talent and I highly recommend checking out her music on Apple Music!

I also made us some mocktail mojitos which were absolutely delicious!

So overall, day 57 was a great one!
