On Day 29, I had the chance to take a Melt Method (foam rolling recovery program) class taught by a friend from my twirling days who lives in New York City. Last winter, amidst my strep throat battle, I decided I needed to work on taking better care of my body and I had seen Marisa talk about Melt on her social media accounts. I bought the kit and did a few videos but then the stuff sat in the corner of my living room collecting dust. When I saw Marisa was teaching classes on Zoom I took the opportunity to sign up.
First of all, it was so nice to be able to support a friend who lives in NYC and has lost her normal way of making a living. Second, it was great to take a "real" Melt class so I could learn more about using this equipment and taking care of my body. (With all of the running I've been doing lately, my muscles are taking a beating.) I was really impressed with how easy it was to take a fitness class on Zoom. Marisa was able to give specific feedback and corrections to everyone in the class and it was easy enough to follow along on the Zoom format. I'll definitely be signing up for a class next week.
In another random moment~ I lucked out with this pack of fruit chews!
